Personal loans, compared

Cover the Bill You Didn't Plan For

Tell us what the loan is for and we send your request to lenders and lending partners in our network. They each decide for themselves, and they contact you with their terms. The form is free.

One questionMany lendersFree to use

Start your request

What would you use the loan for?

That is the only question on the form.

By continuing you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and you consent to be contacted by us and by lenders and partners in our network about your request.

The process

How it works

Three steps, and the form is the only one you do.

1

Say what it is for

Pick the closest reason from the list. That is all the form asks.

2

We pass it on

Your request goes out to the lenders and lending partners we work with. We do not review it ourselves.

3

You hear from lenders

The lender writes the terms and gets in touch with you. Nothing binds you until you sign with one.

What it's for

A garage bill you did not expect, or a car bought privately.

The facts of it

One form reaches the network. That is our whole job here.

We do not lend. We do not underwrite, and we decide nothing about who gets a loan.

You compare what comes back and pick one, or none. Nothing gets signed on this site.

Questions

Common questions

Is Birch Hold a lender?

No. Birch Hold is a comparison and referral service. We don't lend money, we don't approve or deny applications, and we don't set rates or terms. We connect you with lenders and lending partners who do.

What does it cost to use?

Nothing. We're paid by the lenders and partners in our network when we refer a customer. That's also why we can't claim to show you every lender in the market. We work with the ones we work with.

Am I obligated to take anything?

No. Nothing is binding until you review a lender's final terms and sign their loan agreement. You can walk away at any point before that.

What happens to my information?

We share what you submit with lenders and lending partners so they can evaluate your request and contact you. We don't sell it for purposes unrelated to your inquiry. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Who will contact me?

Birch Hold, and the lenders or lending partners we connect you with. You can opt out of our marketing at any time through the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing optout@birchhold.com.

Important disclosures

Birch Hold · 2120 S Reserve St, PMB 721, Missoula, Montana 59801

Birch Hold is not a lender, bank, credit union, or loan broker and does not make credit decisions or issue loans. We operate a comparison and referral service that connects consumers with third-party lenders and lending partners. We do not guarantee that you will be approved, that you will receive any particular rate, term, or loan amount, or that any lender will contact you.

We do not quote rates, terms, payments, or loan amounts. Nothing on this site is an offer of credit, a pre-approval, or a commitment to lend. All terms are determined solely by the lender after it reviews and underwrites your application, and they vary by lender, by applicant, and by state. Not all products are available in all states, and some lenders charge origination or other fees.

Applying with a lender may involve a credit inquiry, which can affect your credit score; the lender will disclose this to you. Late or missed payments may result in additional fees and can negatively affect your credit. Consolidating debt into a longer-term loan may lower a monthly payment while increasing the total amount repaid over the life of the loan.

We are compensated by lenders and partners in our network when we refer a customer. This compensation may influence which products appear and the order in which they appear. We do not represent every lender or loan product available in the market. Birch Hold does not provide financial, legal, tax, or credit-repair advice; consider speaking with a qualified professional about your situation.
